Mastery Learning Grammar

Tutorials and Drills

Follow these steps:

1. On your computer, first create a folder (a container) which will receive the downloaded software.  Name this new folder: “MLGdownload.”

2. Then create a second folder.  Name this folder: “MLG.”  This will be the location where later the downloaded software will be installed.  Create these folders on your root directory, that is, C.  Your structure will look like this:

                                       C:MLGdownload
                                       C:MLG

3. After you click on the link above, that is, “Download MLG,” you will see a folder name MLG.zip.  Save this zipped file to your computer, to the location: MLGdownload.  Once you click on the folder, click SAVE.  Then select the proper location where the folder will be copied.  It will be C:MLGdownload.

4. Once this folder has been downloaded, using Window Explorer, click on MLG.zip.  Then you will see a file named “setup,” all in lowercase letters.  Double click on this name.  You will be asked where you want the files installed, and you should indicate your new folder, MLG.  Complete the setup.

5. After the setup program has installed the files in your MLG folder, use Windows Explorer and look for the file called mlg-menu.  By clicking on mlg-menu, the program will load.  Again, once loaded, read the help screens.  Also, once the software has been installed, do a right mouse click on a blank spot of your desktop and create a shortcut for loading MLG.

6. Be aware that the contents of the tests and drills can be edited, but you will damage the functionality of a test or drill if you do not follow the instructions precisely.  Once MLG is loaded, press F5 to see the editor.  There is really no need to edit the drills, but just know that it can be done.

7. Mastery Learning Composition, a textbook in PDF format, can be downloaded too.  The book teaches fundamental principles of composition, and it provides lessons which support your grammar studies.  Also 200  vocabulary words and 160 affixes are included.  Click Here.
